Crystal Zheyu Jiang is an internationally recognized pianist and dedicated educator with a passion for inspiring the next generation of musicians. A graduate of the Middle and High School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, and Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, Crystal has performed as a soloist with distinguished orchestras, including the Shreveport Symphony and Marshall Symphony. Her performances have been broadcast on platforms like WFMT in Chicago and Red River Radio. She is also the winner of several prestigious competitions, including the Gold Medal at the 70th Wideman International Piano Competition.
In addition to her successful performance career, Crystal brings over 10 years of teaching experience working with students of all ages and skill levels. She has taught at renowned music programs and mentored students who have gone on to excel in music festivals, competitions, and academic settings. Her teaching philosophy is centered on creating a supportive, engaging, and tailored learning environment. Crystal believes that each student’s musical journey is unique, and she emphasizes technical development, expressive interpretation, and building a deep connection to music.
As a teacher, Crystal integrates performance-based learning and incorporates elements of ear training, sight reading, and creative exploration in her lessons. Her goal is to help students build both the confidence and artistry necessary to express themselves through music, whether they pursue music professionally or as a lifelong passion.
